Naive 'Trick or Treaters' Fall Into Storm Drain.

Trick or Treating is becoming more and more popular in Melbourne.

It's that creepy time of the year where kids embark on a journey through the streets in search of chocolate and lollies. However, for three young teens their night of trick or treating resulted in a search out of Melbourne's storm waterways.

Teddy Ipis, aged 13, and his two other friends Danny and Lexie Pamuels, insisted that they would be safe trick or treating by themselves, yesterday night. The three last told their parents that they were thirteen now and they didn't need to be watched over by their parents.

Putting up no argument, the parents of the children, who wish to not be named, agreed to let their kids go out and trick or treat by themselves. It wasn't until 11pm that the parents began having concerns about the whereabouts of their children.

After notifying police, the parents went out in search of the children. Asking neighbours if they had seen their children.

It wasn't until the early hours of this morning that the kids were heard by a jogger crying out in one of the storm drains along Penny street, St Kilda.

The children were returned safely to their parents, however they will not be trick or treating again next year.
